What is quizzing?

Quizzing is a fun and exciting way for you to study and share God’s Word. You will gain Christ-like confidence, which enabled him to confront and conquer sin. Your commitment to the cause of Christ will increase as you master methods to memorize God’s Word, meet with others who share your passion and commitment, and compete in front of your leaders and friends knowing that you are representing Christ. As a result of quizzing, you will also be better prepared to respond to questions posed by your family and friends about God’s plan of salvation, Jesus’ life and ministry, even death and eternity.

Timberland Bible Church is pleased to partner with TPYM quizzing to host a Quiz-mas retreat to help get quizzers together to study the material.  For more information, check out the events page.

2026 Material

The 2026 quizzing material is the full books of Ruth and Jonah in the CSB 2020 version! Both books are about God’s love and care for those are considered “outsiders”: Ruth, the woman from Moab, and the people of Nineveh. As you study in the months to come, may you be blessed and fruitful as you see God’s love for the stranger and the foreigner and may that love change your life.

If you are a coach seeking a team, a team seeking a coach, or a quizzer or two seeking a team, start studying! Part of the process as we get closer to FUEL is to make sure everyone has the opportunity to study with other quizzers and to build friendships (and competitive spirits) before we see each other at FUEL.

But now the fun begins! 
We read God’s word again and again and again until we know it by heart. 
We answer and ask questions to know these books better. 
We jump and jump and jump again to be ready to jump in front of a crowd of cheering fans. 

All the while knowing that the earthly trophies pale in comparison to the crown of life that awaits those who read and obey the word of God. 

So I leave you with one final question…
